After graduation, I had big dreams to immediately find a salon, rent a booth for a year, make tons of money and eventually open my own business.   I moved from salon to salon in search of a big money-making opportunity, but I failed to realize that I was not developing the skills needed to obtain my dream.  Four years later, I landed at a salon that provided structure and training which helped me to build my confidence and clientele.  After many years of training, I gained the experience, techniques, and business exposure that supported the launching of my successful brand.  

I opened The Loc’d Bar salon (TLB) with the goal to minimize the common challenges that most new cosmetology graduates experience. TLB is designed to help new stylists start a structured career all the while building a profitable clientele base. 

The Loc’d Bar provides a solution for graduates to develop their skills in the discipline of hair locs (locks).  It offers exposure to free training, networking, and positive culture with guidance in the beauty industry.
